Privacy policy

This policy explains how Orainic Pty Ltd (ABN 44 652 405 564), which operates Ingendia at www.ingendia.com, collects and handles personal information.

We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For visitors in mainland China, we also handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection Law of the PRC.

What we collect

  • When you ask for or open a demo: your email address and/or phone number, and optionally your name and company. We also record which demo, the date and time, your IP address and your browser type.
  • When you submit a project request at www.ingendia.com/request: the contact and project details you enter.
  • When you use a live demo: what you type or say to it. Voice is converted to text to produce the answer. We don’t keep your recordings or the text of what you said after the answer is returned.
  • Technical information: our web servers keep standard logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security. The site sets one cookie to remember your language, and a live demo stores an access pass in your browser for 7 days so you aren’t asked for your details again.
  • We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

Why we use it

  • To give you access to a demo and to contact you about it.
  • To respond to your project request or enquiry.
  • To keep the site and demos secure and to stop abuse, for example by limiting how often a demo can be called.
  • We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list without asking.

Who we share it with

  • Hosting: our servers are in Australia. Visitors in mainland China are served through a node in mainland China (Tencent Cloud), and the forms on this site send what you enter to our servers in Australia.
  • AI services used by live demos: to produce an answer, a demo sends what you type or say to AI service providers in the United States and mainland China, for speech recognition, the decision, the written reply and the spoken reply. Your contact details are not sent to these services.
  • Email: we use an email provider to send us notifications about requests.
  • We may disclose information where the law requires it.

Sending information overseas

  • Because of the services above, your information may be handled in Australia, the United States and mainland China. By submitting a form or using a live demo, you agree to this. If you are in mainland China, this includes the transfer of the details you submit to our servers in Australia.

How long we keep it

  • Demo contact details: up to 24 months after your last contact with us, then deleted, unless you become a client.
  • Server logs: up to 90 days.
  • Project requests: for as long as needed for the project and our legal record-keeping obligations.

Security

  • Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), stored on access-controlled servers, and only people who need it to respond to you can see it.

Your choices

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing info@orainic.com. We reply within 30 days.
  • If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, contact us first. If we don’t resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

Changes

  • We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
